The UFI (originally Union des Foires Internationales, hence the acronym) is a global association that brings together organizers, owners and national and international trade fair organizations.
The UFI was founded on 15 April 1925 in Milan by 20 European fairs, which were based in Bordeaux, Brussels, Budapest, Cologne, Gdansk, Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig, Ljubljana, Lviv, Lyon, Milan, Nizhny Novgorod, Padua, Paris, Prague, Reichenberg, Utrecht, Valencia, Vienna and Zagreb.
In 2011, more than 550 members of the UFI come from more than 84 countries and organize more than 4,500 events.
